This success of "Slumdog Millioniare" may boost Bollywood's revenues, which are increasingly coming from foriegn markets! They should not however loose out to dish and cable TV, at home!!!

Oh yes! A R Rehman, the double Oscar winner deserves all kudos! Bollywood has come into it's own by winning 4/8 Oscars, a real recognition from the US Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences!

Truly a great feat that is hard to beat. This is an example of money is never an issue if you want to create quality films. Make the most out of the budget, and you'll see what I mean -> the winner yes, from Slumdog. Congratulations. Its like saying in business...xanindia truly helps.

The theme and story-line of "Slumdog Millioniare" is something which can actually be seen in ordinary lives of Indians today, which gives it a greater attraction as compared with most Bollywood melo-dramas, that are "larger than life," and show life as people would like it to be, and not as it is! As regards the film's budget etc., I think that with a lot of foriegn people involved, it's budget may not be in the economy class!

Yes, it is not a "run of the mill" Indian movie, which is the reason for it's unique appeal, which won it the Best Picture Academy Award 2008!

I saw the children who acted in the movie, on TV at Filmfare 2008 Awards ceremony. They are special, and make the movie special aswell!

I liked the reality part that they show in the movie... IT was good in terms of dealing with social issues..
