     Smiley  My current thought about the technology is to introduce the desktop pc's with a remote control technology for turning on or off the computer, if it makes sense, what i mean.

    yes, it is possible.
    You can do that yourself using any TV remote.

    We can attach a infrared reciever and then can use a TV remote by assigining various function to buttons of remote.

    I had a guide for that, lately lost.. will show you if found.

    BTw, yes you are right, we need some product which can act as remote control and which can be used as we want by assigning functions to remote control ourself.

    Though.. you can still do same thing to your PC using Wireless keyboard  & mouse.

    Also..
    I once had Sony s700i phone, it was able to connect to computer via bluetooth and you can then operate your PC from the phone itself..
