This is a very short and handy TIP, will be useful to BSNL mobile users.

How to Activate GPRS on BSNL mobile connection

Simply send SMS saying :

GPRSPRE to 53733

You will receive a confirmation message saying that your request will be processed in 24 hours.  Now wait and soon your GPRS will be activated on BSNL Mobile.

Just to add here, there is no activation fee as well as no rental for GPRS usage however, you will be charged as per usage.  They charge 5 Paisa per 10 kb. So, after activating, make sure you are using it accordingly or you will get all your money used up if you heavily used GPRS.

Also in most of the area, BSNL do not have EDGE enabled network hence on BSNL GPRS don't expect speed more than 48 kilobits per second ie. this is what a normal GPRS can give you . However, if BSNL network you belong to  have EDGE and also your phone is EDGE enabled then you may get speed upto 284 kbits.

Lastly,
Its a small TIP, hopefully will be helpful. If it helped you then please Stop by and give your valuable comments.

Wow ricky,
You changed the Words, maybe i needa change my service.

BTW, are you sure its UNLIMITED?
Companies have learnt a way to cheat people under Unfair "fair use policy" that puts a cap on Unlimited plans too!!
Ahh SHI!@@!

Here is link to Maharashtra Circle:
http://aircel.com/VAS/maharashtra/vas_maharashtra.asp

Btw, they have not mentioned Unlimited plan for any circle on their site, I guess it available everywhere. You can confirm this with any local mobile vendors / place where you buy / recharge mobiles.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
