This yesterday I was watching tv and there I came to know a vista feature Ready to boost its a feature which temorarily increase your ram from a removable media like Pen drives.
But pen drive should be ready for ready to boost so only latest pen drives having sticker(ready to boost)  will be helpful.
How it works?
when you insert the pen drive there will be 2 options 1)media storage 2)ready to boost.
use ready to boost so temporarily RAM will be increased.
also it is tested that if you have 4 gb pen drive it will increase ram to appx. 1 gb.
that is only 25 to 50% have been used in tests posted elsewhere.

You mean that we can use PEN DRIVE as an extension to our Extension RAM in a PC ?
But pen drive speed is not that fast as RAM .. ?

But will be faster than hard drive ..  I will surely buy a 8 GB Pen drive so sometimes it can help me to boost my old Pc's RAM .
Nice TIP Smiley

Well, if same thing can be used in Windows XP then can be a good help for old PCs to give  little more life.

well i have used ram boost feature but still if you upgrade your internal ram it will be better option recently i added 1GB DDR ram to my pc making it 1.5 gb and my computer is super fast now.
it costs Rs 1600 for ddr1 and Rs 900 for 1gb ddr2 ram.

if you are not sure which ram is in your pc just visit
www.crucial.com
and scan your pc you will get all the required information.

Absolutely .. having more physical RAM is the best solution, however, if you have a Flash drive then why not use it too altogether Smiley But if you have really plenty of RAM then no need at all.
