This is just a general question ..

What do you prefer ie. to shutdown your computer when you are not using it or just hibernate it ?

Whatever your choice, please try to give reason for it .

I prefer A proper Shut Down it helps to discharge the power slowly which  coming to the board and supply . and that help PC to Run long as well as the other components ..

Hibernation doesn't give proper time discharge. coz of it sudden Damage of hardware like supply get damage etc.

Whether its time of urgency or not I prefer a Proper shut down.

On my laptop, 90% of the time I put it in hibernation instead of powering it off.  The computer will use very little power in hibernation, and will use a little more in standby. And there aren't any data-loss concerns of using hibernation over shutting down.

I prefer hibernation at the rate of 3 out of 5.
Its because computer takes very less time while shutting down and restart while on hibernation as compared to proper shut down.
Sometimes proper functioning of certain new installed programs is required so that we need to restart or shut down our PC.
Else wise power (and RAM) is also saved while in hibernation mode!!!!

Hibernation has another advantage that it lets to you continue your work from where you left it. Anytime whenever I am about to leave computer or turn it off, by then so many work windows, programs are running and if I hibernate, I can just continue from the last spot.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
