uninstall and search for yahoo on desktop then delete all files and then install it again.

Best solution is you install an older version of Yahoo messenger, say 7.5 , search "yahoo messenger 7.5 download" .

It is because the problem behind it crashing may be incompatibility between shared resources on your computer and yahoo messenger and of-course newer messenger tends to be unstable as with other softwares too.
