    Bsnl has recently launched new Business plan for speed upto 8mbps.

    So here are the detals.

    Plan : Business 2000

    Speed:

    256kbps to 8mbps

    Monthly Rental:
    Rs. 2000

    Download Upload Limit:
    12GB

    Charge beyond given usage:
    Rs. 0.70 per mb

    Modem:
    Whatever you Buy!



    Plan : Business 4000

    Speed:

    1mbps to 8mbps

    Monthly Rental:
    Rs. 4000

    Download Upload Limit:
    27GB

    Charge beyond given usage:
    Rs. 0.50 per mb

    Modem:
    Free WiFi enabled modem



    Plan : Business 15000

    Speed:

    2mbps to 8mbps

    Monthly Rental:
    Rs. 15000

    Download Upload Limit:
    125GB

    Charge beyond given usage:
    Rs. 0.40 per mb

    Now I don't know how they will offer 8 mbps whereas there lines are mostly capable of 2 mbps at most.

    Also, I don't understand that when we are going to get really Unlimited internet at high speeds ?

    8 mbps they'll have to use fibre optics to offer such a high bandwidth.
    i don't know how are they going to do that.

    Well, 8 mbps is possible over aDSL .. even upto 24 mbps is possible with aDSL .
    Fiber optical networking is used for transmission upto 10 GBPS .. though 1 GBPS is standard .. which is equal to 1024 mbps.

    BSNL service is satisfactory and complaint attendance is very prompt.

    the only problem with BSNL is we could not configure with BSNL server
