Orkut is just getting better and better, why ? Because they are constantly implementing features what user are suggesting, they are not just coming with a whole lot of features but instead they are coming with features which makes orkut even more more fun.

They just launched new orkut feature by which you can now create custom groups for friends as we do on our mobile phone book . So it is even easier to maintain, though groups were their ie. as friend, best friend, acquaintances etc. but they were ready made and you can only use them.

But now as they have made it easier to define own group, rename current group, so it is of real nice use. eg.
If you work in a company and wanted to have list of employees who work with then just create group “company” and add all of them into it and list goes on . So it is cool and easy!

So how to use it ?

For that you have to follow following simple steps:
Goto Orkut Home Page —> Friend list —> Manage
groups in orkut
And here lies the fun,
Goto Friend Groups
There you can do number of tasks:
1. You can edit current group, just click on small “icon” placed in front of groups, it will come with option to rename, delete, modify or cancel. So it is easy to understand what it all do.
2. To add a new group, simply click “ADD” and give name of group and you are done.

Orkut is just simply the best. I think out of myspace, facebook and orkut; orkut is top rated. It's layout is so easy and simple it lets you to make and contact friends in much simpler ways. Brilliant man. The biggest advantage is that you can have a blog of your own via orkut from which you can earn money but others don't give such a flexibility.
