Massive power cuts and water shortage in the sweltering summer Wednesday compelled Delhiites to come out on the roads and protest across the national capital.

People protesting against power cuts in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar turned violent this morning and started pelting stones.

Angry over the power and water shortage, a group of people approached Paharganj police station in central Delhi demanding to register a “missing” complaint of water. And the protestors blocked traffic for some time.

However, police have not registered any such complaint yet.
The national capital has been witnessing long power cuts for the past few days after the mercury soared to around 44 degree Celsius.

The rotational load shedding across the capital Tuesday was between 20 MW to 300 MW. The power cuts across the capital lasted for two to nine hours in various parts of Delhi.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
