    Basically each and every Telecom company is havin same strategy, get new customers, they are basically offering some periodic schemes & if its success then OK, otherwise new one is on the way.

    BTW, I am an Idea postpaid subscriber Tongue

    excatly .... this is what i am looking for someone to tell me ... what are the strategies. Huh

    one of them are offering diff tariffs but ... there have to be more ... a lot more ... business cannot run on one strategy alone.

    Right now my personal observation is that every Telecom company in India is following same strategy.. that is introduce new and cheaper and mouth watering tariff , grab more and more customers.

    One they started and I think were first to start was Rs. 249 a month and Unlimited call to any 25 Idea local Nos. + Rs. 150 free talktime. !

    That one was really cool bcz I saw many people taking that scheme and then forcing their known one to buy the IDEA too so that they can talk to them free all the time. This one is very famous among Teens !

    Later on many other followed it..

    well ... cellular services are cheapest in India than rest of the world. Indians pay as low as 1cent/ call where as the average around the worls is 12cent.

    But there are other things too,  abroad most of the telecom are having "Unlimited" talk offer or facility without any extra cent but here in India "Unlimited" calling is still rare. so things are balanced ..

    but still ... even if the talk time period is validity free or say is unlimited … still on average Indians pay 1/4th of what the rest of the world is paying.

    Even if an Indian mobile user has to recharge his/her mobile on monthly bases .. still they are paying only quarter rent of what the rest of the world pays.

    Does that make sense?

    No, not at all, considering Rupee value in International market and then in Indian circumstances, its not very cheap.

    Well ... rupee has lesser value than most of the countries in the world ... that makes Indian market far cheaper.
