Fuel price is on rise and economy is slowing down. Globally we are seeing shift in pattern of vehicle demand to more fuel efficient one. Automakers are not unaware of this fact and now after Reva, we are soon going to see more electric cars in the market. Earlier it was TATA who announced to make electric version of Nano and later we had launched of Honda Civic Hybrid in India. So, the fleet of energy saving vehicles is on rise.

Now, its Ajanta group who already manufactures e-bikes with brand Oreva. The company said they are soon going to launch their e-car on Indian road. It will be 100% India made e-Car. As per company information, the e-Car can run 200 to 250 km one full charge.

Price information is not yet disclosed but is expected to be lesser than Rs. 1 lakh.

The news is great and indicates india is developing. The price also sounds good as a middle class family member can afford. But do you think when india is having scarcity of electricity can this car be perfered.
