While there are talks  and process of buying Land Rover and Jaguar Brand by TATA, but Land Rover is firmly interested in having its independence assembly setup in India for its Defence and Utility vehicles in India. Company said that they were planning for and we can even see partnership with local companies for localized contents and for managing  marketing and distribution arrangements.

Company said, was pitching for a major oder from the armed forces that would provide thrust to its assembly plan. They said that a team of Indian armed force have visited their factory in UK already.

On the other hand TATA motors do not comment on Land Rovers Independent plans India but TATA's taking over these brand shall surely affect their plans in Inda.

Well, Tata is already doing that and its almost confirm that its TATA only that will acquire Land Rover and Jaguar from FORD but here Land Rover has independent plan to set up business in India. I am sure after TakeOver they will have to abandon all this.

Well, there are some complication regarding working of company after takeover by TATA and also future support from FORD etc. so it will take some time.
