Ambassador Car, car which is still official Govt. vehicle, black ambassador car with lots of lights on it means some big Govt. official. But the repo of this car is not helping Hindustan Motors. The company's sales is declining and company is working on their new car. The design is whole new and fully developed by HM Motors but they have taken technical assistance from other auto manufacturers.

Hindustan Motors, manufacturer of the good old Ambassador cars in India, is set to launch its passenger car in India. The company will launch its new passenger in October in association with Japanese car maker, Mitsubishi Motors. The declining sales of its longest surviving car, Ambassador, have compelled the company to look out for new ventures. It had launched its last new car Contessa in the year 1980 which was officially withdrawn in 2003.
