The Luxury car segment is getting tougher and its now Mercedes who just rolled out new model to widen their portfolio with launch  of E230 (petrol) and E220 (CDI Diesel) model in India in its E class.

The E220 gives  out 410 Nm of torque at a low 2000 revs and 170PS @ 3700rpm. One of the most popular and strong selling cars from the Mercedes-Benz India range of products, the E200 Kompressor has been replaced by the new E230. This car has a 2.5 litre V6 petrol engine mated to a 7G-tronic transmission. The new engine develops 204PS@ 6100 rpm and 245Nm of torque at 5500rpm.

The E230 will be priced at Rs. 41.44 lakhs, while the E220 CDI will be available for a lesser price - Rs. 38.99 lakhs.

Ever since the introduction of Mercedes E-Class in India, the company has managed to sell more than 10,000 units.
