Economy is slowing down but still car  makers look for business in India. Hindustan Motors last week launched its new SUV in India. The new SUV is from Mitsubishi motors for which Hindustan Motors acts as Joint venture in India. The new SUV is called OutLander. The outlander is in India after tasting success in various other countries around the globe.

The Mitsubishi Outlander will be assembled in India by Hindustan Motors. The company is assembling it in its Thiruvallur (Chennai) car plant. Japanese auto major, Mitsubishi would provide assistance in its marketing and manufacturing as per their agreement. As per comment of the company, Mitsubishi Outlander is most fuel efficient SUV as compared to the other counter parts in same segment. It gives mileage of 10.3 Kmpl in test conditions.

As per the company information, the new Outlander is powered by a 2.4 litre petrol engine and has four-wheel drive. It offers a maximum power of 170 PS/6000 rpm and is equipped with a flat torque of 226 N-m/4100 rpm. Expect outlander to be available in showrooms at price tag of Rs. 20.20 lakhs.
