India was always a aspiring market for small cars and with recent events like advent of NANO, India is now one of the most promising market for small cars.  India's booming small- car market  has resulted in Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) deciding  to fastforward its expansion plans and the one million unit capacity expansion will be completed by October 2008 instead of the next fiscal. Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has already announced Rs 9,000 crore for capacity expansion and research & development till 2010.
