Volkswagen, the no. 1 European car manufacturer is now keen to have big leap in India too. Started with VW Passat, now they are soon going to bring Volkswagen Jetta in India. The Jetta is said to have high level of safety standards as well as maintaining top in class luxury. The VW Jetta in will probably come in 3 engine variants. One petrol Jetta 1.6L and two other will be diesel TDI 1.9L Trendline and comfortline DSG. Basically diesel engine will have difference of DSG automatic gearbox.

The four cylinder patrol version will have maximum power of 102 PS at 5600 rpm  with max. torque of 148 Nm at 3800 rpm. It will give maximum speed of 186 kmph and will be available in 5 speed manual gearbox. The diesel version will be giving 105 Ps power at 4000 rpm and max. torque of 250 Nm at 1900 rpm. The diesel engine variant will be available in two option ie. 1 with 5 speed manual gearbox while other with 6 speed automatic DSG transmission gearbox.

The Volkswagen Jetta 1.9L TDI diesel can get 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 11.8 seconds with DSG gearbox version. Spacious and well established Jetta may get priced between 13 Lakhs to 16 lackhs on Indian road.
