Scarlett Keeling

Scarlett Keeling's Murder Case
There are so much fuzz about Scarlett Keeling's murder case, UK media is missing no chance to show that India is bad. Even there was and article which after reading I felt as if its their soul intention to pave bad image of India rather than showing the truth.

Act of Police under pressure
It is all we know that Indian police is corrupt but we also know that if there is National pressure then they can work. Same happened here, there was internet pressure to unfold the truth. Police has arrested Goa's biggest drug Mafia, all this was not possible if they had no pressure.

Now Goa Police to arrest her Indian Boy friend too
Goa police, investigating into the rape and murder of Scarlett Eden Keeling, on Sunday hinted at arresting her boyfriend, 21-year-old Julio Lobo, under the Goa Children's Act in next few days.
While police investigations have revealed that Julio had no role in drugging and murdering the girl on February 18, Scarlett's personal diary can be a base for police to prosecute him under statutory rape charge

The Current Scenerio of the Scarlett Keeling Case
Almost one month after a British teenager Scarlett Keeling's body was found, the Goa Police finally admitted on Thursday that she was raped and murdered.

Her death occurred due to excessive drugs and sexual assault and two people have been arrested in the connection.

How events unfolded:

    * Scarlett given cocktail of drugs with intent of raping her
    * Scarlett was already slightly high and didn't know her drink was laced with drugs
    * She was repeatedly raped on Anjuna beach by Samson
    * Scarlett fell unconscious, left in shallow waters to drown and
    * Goa Police initially said Scarlett died by drowning

Samson D'Souza has been charged with rape and murder while Placido Carvalho has been charged with the intoxicating her. The Inspector General of Police has also said that they will look into lapses in police investigations.

Almost a month after she lost her daughter Fiona Mackeon now knows who her likely killers were, men whose names were doing the rounds but who the police refused to catch.

Now in the past 24 hours what was earlier projected as a open and shut drowning case has been cracked open with more arrests and revelations. The biggest of them all Placido Carvalho, also known as Shannaboy in local circles, one of Goa's biggest drug-dealers.

Meanwhile, Samson D'Souza the first person arrested has been charged with rape and murder while Shannaboy has been charged under second 328 for administering drugs and murder with common intent.

This confession completely contradicts the initial version of Goa Police, which claimed that it was an accidental drowning, despite numerous signs of assault on her body.

You should read her Diary who's parts are available online

The other side / A case of improper parental care ?
An article in Dailymail talks about same where they say she would have been alive if her mother had given her more support and care.
Below are few words from that article :
Quote
Maybe so. But isn't there an even better chance that Scarlett would still be alive if her own mother had not abandoned her for several weeks after an argument and recklessly continued her own holiday?

Instead the blonde teenager, as tempting as a ripe peach, was left in the care of a 25-year-old tour guide - a local man she'd only recently met.

I don't know what they call that in globe-trotting hippy circles. Back here on Planet Parent it's known as dereliction of duty.
