I am keeping a eye on Hutch's merger with some other player in market. Earlier there was only Reliance as the strongest player to take over Hutch but now seems that Vodafone is also into the game and its quite obvious as being a big player in Europe, vodafone also wants to have his presense in India.. which is the world's second most happening telecom market.

Currently following are in the market for the aquisition of Hutch..

• Vodafone
• Hindujas
• Reliance

As its clear that all three are having strong competition and vodafone being a big multi-national telecom player is strongest but it has to come over some hurdles.

Reliance , on the other is biggest CDMA player in Indian market and wants to have his hands - grip on GSM too and what could be the easiest way to achieve it ? Aquiring a already established Telecom Company.  They are already having their hands on GSM service under brandname SMART in few parts of company and if they aquire HUTCH then would be the next biggest move on Indian Telecom Market... surely another price war.

Hindujas.. can't say much about them but they are willing atleast 51% in this HongKong based telecom firm's venture.

Lets see how it will affect Indian Telecom Market.

Now it is about to final, Essar itself is trying to buy those Hutchison shares in Hutch.

Even Hinduja brothers are trying hard and they are seeking help from some Russian telecom as was Kataar Telecom. Vodafone and Reliance are still the most capable bidders.
Only if it goes into hands of Reliance then will have new move in the market.
