TRAI - Telecome Regulatory Authority of India reduced roaming charges.

Now its supposed that from 15th feb.2007,

Customers will not need to pay any monthy rental and any roaming activation fee.

Incoming while roaming would be Rs. 1.75 per min.

Local outgoing while roaming would be Rs. 1.40 per min

STD made while on roaming would be chared Rs. 2.40 per min.

Recieving of SMS is NIL while roaming.

Outgoing SMS while roaming is yet to declare..

Above all , there shall be nor surcharge while roaming.

I wish to mention here that I used to get charged Rs. 3.84 to something 4.xx while I was on roaming, if I see in personal term than I will be charged now half in roaming as compared earlier. I hate one thing about Mobile company that they never clearly mention roaming details in bills. I think should mention it in details . irrespetive of itemised bill or not.
