Pooja Chopra was the entrants from India to the Miss World 2009 contest. She made into top 16 semifinalist only.  She participated in Miss World 2009 beauty pageant held on 12 December 2009 even when she was suffering some injury. The lady was in deep trouble owing to a bad sprain in her ankle that occurred while she hurried in high heels. Her foot was bandaged and she was experiencing excruciating pain. She was advised complete bed rest,even her such devotion failed to bring her Miss World 2009 title.
