This is interesting, last day I was wondering that this song has nothing to with Hazrat Ali, even nothing in lyrics for which is calling Ali, seems that he was inspired from few older songs yet famous like Ya Ali from Gangenster and Muala mere Muala from "Anwar".. thought that this may help him making the song even more famous...

Here is the quote as news says and he agreed to remove it after objection from Shiya Muslim Community :
Quote
New Delhi, June 12 (ANI): In view of objections raised by a section of Muslims over Himesh Reshammiya's latest song 'Ya Ali' from his yet to be released film Aap Ka Suroor, the singer has agreed to change wordings of the song.

In a text message sent to Zaheer Zaidi, leader of Shia community, Reshammiya wrote, "We will change the word 'Ya Ali' from the song", and also assured that the promos of the song would be taken off air soon.
