    Contract Hindi Movie Review
A film by Ram Gopal Verma

RGV, RamGopal Verma's is best in telling the story about underworld, no one can forget movie like Satya and Company. Though later on he tried in different genre but miserably failed. So our so called Ramu is back with his field of specialty. But.. is it right choice to bet on the subject of underworld and violence when its now already saturated. We have seen lots of movies based on underworld since then and  now almost there is no part of tale of underworld which is not cinematized.

So, we have a another  gang war, violence and underworld movie from Ram Gopal Verma but this time with Tadka of Terrorism in it.  The story tells about a ex-army guy who was approached by a Mumbai cop to nail down some terrorist and gangster as recently there was series of  terror blasts in Delhi. He denies but lately in blasts, his own wife and daughter  became victim and now to take revenge and to reach the top man responsible for his wife and daughter's death.

Now he turns into Amaan Yusuf Ali and is plotted in RD's gand and win the trust while destroying Rival goonga gang's man. In the movie, there are two rival gangs ie.  Goonga( Limaye) and RD( Nijhawan). While Sultan (Husain) is the key person and RD is the route to him.

The underworld story with lots of gore, ugly looking gangester and finally the revenge is the new RGV's contract movie. As the movie is part of specialty of Ramu, there are numbers of scenes in the movie which really stands out. But if you are looking for something path breaking or memorable then do not expect that from the CONTRACT : The Movie. As said earlier, we have seen all shades of gang war movie and at times you will find it repeatative.

Story by Prashant Pandey look  like having so much cinematic liberties, while Ram Gopal Verma presentation mostly looks near to life but here in this movie some instance are hard to digest and are too much heroic. I guess RGV thought that he should now enter mainstream Masala movie where an Hero can kill 30 enemies with 12 round pistol ?

Adhvik Mahajan, the new comer is pleasant to watch with his distinctive style. He is good in his acting all the time and does not let down . Sakshi Gulati, who helped our main character had no much meaty scope and just a standard performance within the scope of the role. Vibha Chebur is there as female Commisioner and her looks are and expression are impressive in her limited appearance. While the music of the movie is below average, the background score is Ramu style but loud at times.

In the end, watch it if you like Ramu or if you are fan of underworld / gangster genre movie.  Also, can be good time pass but not impressive. May be we had over expectations.

My ratings : Goes for Average Movie.. 2.5/5
