Movie Review : Jimmy


Movie, which now happened to be a debut for the son of Mithun Chatroborthy ie. Mimoh Chakroborthy has been directed by now senior Raj. N. Sippy. Before talking further, I just can't understand that why experienced personality like Mithun agreed for his kid to do this movie? If you see a new actor coming in industry via a below average movie then one can understand as he is new he had to grab whatever offer he get but Mimoh, being a Son of Star Mithun, why he accepted proposal to do this movie.


The act, the sequences looks like if you are back in 70s-80s, movie starts with with a murder where Jimmy (Mimoh) is found accused and he accept it and lately he was sentenced to death. Jimmy, our Hero in the movie is a Mechanical Engineer who works in garage so is  not able to earn handsome hence he also work part time as  DJ. He need to pay off his father's debt.
Though Jimmy never murdered but still he accept. Here we have mystery that why he did that. Later in the Jail he realize that he is being part of some conspiracy. Also he came to know that the reason for which he took murder charges was false. So he fled away from the Jail, then sort movie drama, maa , girlfriend and a particular police officer chasing.
And in the end Jimmy finally finds the real murderer who is non other someone very close to him. Rest check out in movie yourself.

Lets talk about the movie itself, as said earlier, movie looks like if the director  is not aware that is 2008, he need to be more presentable as well as streamlined in the movie. Moreover, script is so bad that there is much left. Overall movie is disaster as a launch for Star Son Mimoh.
Mimoh look like that he tried his level best but he need to get matured in acting. One thing is good about the Mimoh is that he is a good dancer. May be he thought that he can recreate the buzz as his father did once. 
Vivana is presentable but just as showpiece, Syed Zulfi is wasted, Rahul dev is just average.
Music of the movie fails to create any impression.  In theater you can hardly find yourself comfortable. You will regret yourself for the decision to go for this movie.
I call it Poor movie.. not calling it Lame as the effort of Mimoh is clearly visible.
