The Movie Review

Another flick from Himesh Reshammiya after "Aap ka Suroor" . Reportedly Aap ka Suroor was good on Money Chart and I guess this made Himesh to go for another attempt and that is Karzzzz.. yes .. call it remake or inspiration from the old Rishi Kapoor Karz.. and yes this time with three extra ZZZ .. ok so what's up with those extra ZZZ.. well not our point to discuss.

This new movie Karzzzz starring Himesh Reshammiya in lead role will sure have comparison with old Karz. Infact the only thing which was there in mind while watching was old Karz Vs new Karzzzz. The comparison is going to be there and no one can deny. So whats in new Karzzzz? The most of the Karzzzz directly take from the old Karz but few more twists are added there. 

We all know about Karzzzz and story is known to us from more than 2 decades but lets have usual talk.. Monty (Himesh Reshamiya) is very succesful Rock Star ..(c'mon!!!do rock star still exist ?). Things going fine in his life .. usual love (with Shweta Kumar as Tina) etc.. soon he starts getting flashes of mansion, a man dying and he realizes that the he is the man who died and flashes are from his past life.  His flashes gets even frequent and he founds that his last life wife was Kamini (Urmilla Mantodkar) .. rest is revenge and the drama you we all know.

Lets come straight to the real review things,

As you all know what is going into the movie, but still its starts well and goes smooth without much torture but towards interval, you can cinematic liberties taken and yes you need to keep aside your logic and then you can enjoy it altogether. Only after reappearance of Urmilla with her bold makeup (looked comical most the time) you can see energy regained in the audience.  One thing which bothers me a lot is the look of Urmilla Mantodkar, she just did not after 2 decades in movie lifespan. She looks same as was with Ravi Verma(Deno Morea - previous life Monty) and with Monty. Why so much cinematic liberties ?Common 2 decades are long enough to look older..anyways.. ! Urmilla Mantodkar is now a mature actress and looks clearly in her work. She did noticeably work here as Princes Kamini..

Now I will talk specially about Himesh, logically the only reason this movie will work is Himesh, though this movie already got so much attention as is made upon the old good one ie. original Karz and is being advertised with so much confident. Himesh, surprisingly looks like an actor here. Rember Aapka Suroor, there he had lots of short coming and had same expression through out the movie but here seems he had worked upon his weakness and now in the movie he appeared to be acting and that too with confidence and grace.  Himesh with silky here and stubble throughout the movie is the man who is to be watched. Definitely a must watch for Himesh Reshammiya's fan and followers.  He is able to maintain a sort of power which will let you glued to your seat.

Shweta Kamar and Himesh combo looks awful, Shweta needs to work and lots of work upon acting.. after all its about acting. In simple words, she just failed to express, flat expressions. Mr. Dany looks good as father of Tina and worked well. Dino Morea had not much to do other than flashing in memories. Rest of the things goes fine.

Satish Kaushik has done a good nice jobs and he has some very good timings but this comment implies to few aspects of movie. There are many shortcomings in the movie which makes you laugh, attire, the sets and everything is just not so convincing and yes, the climax where we have a robotic army.. looks like we are watching a Pogo channel stuff.. kiddish. Overall this movie not to watch in theater, you may wait for DVDs to come out.

Certainly, this movie belongs to Himesh, who has created Monty in his own way. Music is so Himesh style and is already gaining grounds. For some wired lyrics (Sameer just writes.. quantity means no quality) and not so unfamiliar himesh songs. Also, he was found saying the promos that this is first time he sung not from nose .

Finally, if you are no Himesh fan and are not among those old Karz fan those want to find what is new in the new Karzzz then wait for movie to get released on DVDs. A time pass flick if you enjoy full masala movies without much use of brain.

Calls it so so .. Near Poor but Watchable 2.1/5
