Hindi Movie Mission Istaanbul Review

Movie mission Istaanbul gave some hope that may be having courage to take up the subject which is not so common can come up with something beautiful but this latest release is another-just another jolt in your entertainment.  The movie is dull, challenging your logics and if you think you are among audience with intelligence then surely going to give you displeasure.

The movie revolves around a promising Indian journalist  Vikas Sagar (Zayed Khan) who had to give a 3 months work visit to Al-Johara, a tv channel operated from Istanbul. This Channel is run by Ghazni (Nikitan Dheer), while Vikas is busy in his work, he is informed by Rizwan (Vivek Obroi) that the actual purpose of Al-Johara is to just help terrorism and their real work is controlled from floor 13. But floor 13 is inaccessible to common worker of the TV station. Hence Vikas now tries to get in. While once he tried, was beaten by securities despite of being one of the best reporter from India.

While, Vikas Sagar is busy in his work, there is his wife who is not happy from him and want to get divorce.  Also there is a woman which helps Sagar often from hard situation and later on we found out she is an Indian agent.

Now as Vikas realized that Al-Johara has something hidden inside, so he is on pursue to uncover the hidden truth. Hence Ghazni is now behind Vivek to kill.

Interestingly, Vikas is also very good IT experts as he injects a virus into the system as if he is playing some games.... later on he turns into a professional combat fighter / shooter to save the scene.

After watching the movie for first few minutes, one can easily easily realize that Mission Istanbul is nothing but going to be pain. Though movie covers a very interesting topic ie. international terrorism and role of media in the news, how they make a news hot to make money but choosing a challenging topic also need proper research and then precise picturization but here it fails in both. Clearly, movie is made without doing any good research. There are tonnes of flaws and above all, movie fails to make out proper use of this interesting subject, otherwise which could have result in a very well movie.

Seems, taking cinematic liberties is just part of Indian cinema now and proper research is not require to make a movie on sensitive subject like this. Why they choose Istanbul may have make sense but Istaanbul not really used apart of the title. Movie is made as per director's own assumptions and seems they really do not care about real world situation.

May be they thought that action can takeover but guess what, as movie is filled with action sequences, there are lots and lots of technical flaws there too, looks as if they just want to complete the stunt as they thought, no matter if it was completed with error. May be all they got was one shot for every seen to do. Tight in budget ?. . lolz.

Zayed Khan gave one of the worst performance of his life, weak weak.. that is what I say. Nikitian Dheer has to go a far, he need to learn a lot in this field of acting because apart of acting, he did everything right Smiley. Vivek Obroi, he tried to be cool in the movie but doesn't work , also his character was not much long, but still he was not happening.

A lame attempt in making an action-thriller movie.

I rate it worst .. 1/5

Dear Writer :

You lack cinematic knowledge, which is obvious from your note, as you were hoping for a very bollywoodish film, and are upset that is not what you expected.  Contrary to your view, it is a very sleek and well made film, something that bollywood has still to wake up and admit. The technical flaws that you mention you need to be specific  as contrary to you view a lot of us who make movies feel that it was a brilliantly made film. So soirry that we cannot agree with you and let your comments pass.

Regards

Dear LAX,

I do not blame you for criticizing me but I just want to say that it is very bollywoodish movie and this is where I am disappointed very much.

Anyways, I invite you to watch movie with me and in private theatre or something good where I can show you frame by frame errors in the movie. I can give you all details and after that I will let you to decide.

Lastly, I am not expert but atleast I can distinguish between good and bad. Smiley

Have a nice Day!

I won't call it a well made or a bad movie...it was a really good story narrated in an inefficient way
