Movie Review of Don MuthuSwami

Remember Mithun's memorable role from movie Agnipath- Krishna Iyer M.A. Narialpaniwala ? Iyer is back as Don Muthuswami. Few decades ago Mithun was a superstar and that time running a whole movie on his shoulder was acceptable but this movie, seems to be all set on his shoulder again. Though he is now more matured with superb timings but his stardum galore is not shining as of those days. Surely he is now a start of a huge caliber.

The father of Don Muthuswami (Mithun Chakraborthy) takes a promise from him before dying that he has to be a good man. Now the Don in a problem but he decides to keep his promise, his gunda party ie. henchmen  are still with him but now to help in domestic stuff. So now he has to transform from Don Muthuswami to Sir Muthuswamy. So he hires a Urdu/ Hindi teacher Jaikishan (Mohit Raina) also.


There is a his manager Preetam (Rohit Roy) who is actually always stealing his money falls in love with his daughter Sanjana (Hrishita Bhatt) . But the Don wanted to marry Sanjana to his good time Don friend's son Pradhan who according to Mithuswami is best match for her but she did not want to marry and pretend to be pregnant. This Manager is in love with the daughter and wants to marry her, on the other hand, to have more confusion, the Urdu teacher also fell in love with Sanjana.

Whereas, the Cops are also behind Muthu to see if he is really changed. This all makes confusion and a scene of comedy everywhere.

Movie, as name suggested is comedy genere but is all on Mithuswami ie. Mithun and he did a nice Job. Comedy is sometimes humorous but most of the time it is bearable. Songs are just average and Choreography is satisfactory. However the feel and look of movie is of late 70s though director never tried to do so !
Overall, watch movie for Mithun's comic timings otherwise nothing much to watch.
