The aim of the govt is - To secure adequate rice supplies locally.
--
This week, the Indian government issued an order that all rice exported must have a minimum export price (MEP) value of 1000 USD per ton.  Increased from 570 USD per ton. Almost double.

The aim is to limit rice exports by having the base price increased.

What importers in M.E and F.E and USA are doing is this. They gang up with the exporters and come to an arrangement. The importers place the order for the higher amount as demanded by the government. Then the exporter in India returns the excess money back to the overseas importer using hawala money transfers.

So, the country gains nothing, the rice still go out as before and the hawala and black money people are happy and laughing as usual. This kind of stupidity, the Indian foolish bureaucracy has done several times in the past few decades and always failed.

But they never learn. The same idiot monkeys are there in Delhi doing the same crap and nonsense. It is amazing why this happens.

Farmers will not get any benefit.
Only the illegal hawala merchants who send money
in and out of the country make more black money.

yeah, Asking price which at which farmers can sell is the same and it is to keep inflation under control.

The policy looks OK but due to all these underground holes in system it can easily be overcome.

One thing I will say we are in very good country with grow sufficient wheat and rice else countries like Japan and whole africa is badly struggling now as nearly no conty is exporting grains out.

at the time of harvest season - business people go bearish trend (under F&O in commoditity market) and reduce the procurement price - business people store the whole stock and suddenly creat artificial sacity (it apply not only for food it also cover cement, steel and other commodities) - otherwise how inflation will shoot up from 4% to 7.5% - all are magic.

Business men they are intelligent - if every one started pouring water instead of milk - one day business men also has to drink only polluted water - All would have read in news paper that Business men over night becomes insolvent losing hundred crores of rupees losing even roof over his head.

the story will continue for ever - there is no room for correction - we ordinary people have to suffer like this only

can we think on the other way - or differently

exploters are very small in number -
majority are getting exploited
poor are majority (absolute majority) and rich are a fraction in the population.

who is weak - our understanding to our rights and enforcing it.

there are lot of simple laws - getting justce are made very simple - still we are ignorant of our rights.

man rules elephant - without knowing elephant can revolt.
