Harbhajan Singh slapped Sreesanth  during IPL twenty20 league and he immediately faced fine from IPL as his match fee. Although the decision of BCCI was yet to come, finally the fate of Harbhajan sing was served. He has been banned for 5 ODIs. It means he will not be playing in coming two series.

BCCI said that if next time he again found guilty of misconduct in the field then will invoke life term ban on him.  The BCCI has used Rule 3.2.1 of the BCCI regulations wherein the maximum punishment is 'a ban up to a maximum of five ODIs and/or three test matches'.
