Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has decided to phase out Access Deficit Charges (ADC).  So we may expect drop in call charges of local and long distance call.

Those who don't know Access Deficit Charges (ADC), it is a levy that is paid by operators to subsidise the rural operation of state-owned BSNL. It is the area where whole Telecom Industry always seemed to united. Now TRAI has stand with its promise and removed ADC.

Currently operators pay 0.75% of their adjusted gross revenues as ADC. That amounts to about Rs 600 crores. Now this will be passed to customer so mean further relief in call charges.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
