    I'am a Chennai settled person and my family is keen on seeing me in the hot seat on KBC.But ironically it seems that only the hindi speaking fraternity will reach there.Off late I find most of the fastest finger first questions based on hindi language .Does this mean south Indians for whom hindi is taught as a third language will never get there?HuhHuh?

     Well, I dont agree that KBC is aimed for North Indian !! If you see KBC regularly, you should notice a lot of people come from Andhara, bangalore and other South Indian parts and win a handsome amount of money. Its based on INDIA and not just North India.  Yeah, there are few questions from Hindi movies, but then Bollywood is for all the Indians. So, I dont think that there is some regional bias in KBC.

    Well, they do ask question in English also, means though the question is  read in Hindi but actually its written in English on Display screen.
    All in all, don't worry , you won't face any difficulty.

    Thats right,and mostly the 'fastest finger first' questions.Once in the hot seat its ok,then one can always use lifelines like audience poll and flip.....i hope I can get this across to Mr Siddharth basu,as the interest here in Chennai is coming down becoz of these reasons.

    Pats, you might be feeling that fastest finger round is based on Hindi...but still I dont agree. Whatever episodes i have seen, they ask e:g to arrange airport names starting from east to west, or north to south, or they ask about festivals in their order of celebration in the year, or release of films of some actor/actress year wise, or arrange the body parts from top to bottom......so i never saw any question which should be difficult for someone from South !!!

    You might be thinking because of informal conversations in Hindi by SRK...but the fastest finger is never Hindi based.  Also, please dont  link Hindi to North India. There are many different languages spoken in North India as well....and Hindi is being promoted as National language.

    If you have seen KBC tonite you would understand what I'am trying to get acroos.ThE FFF (Fastest finger first) question was about ornaments from head to toe in hindi agian .That sould confirm your doubts if any.I'am speaking on behalf of the sounth Indian community who does'nt know a word of hindi.What does one do in such a scenario?Huh??

    I still dont agree !! There might be this sort of question rarely, FFF round questions are not regional !! So many people from Southern part of India come to the hot seat winning the FFF round.

    An example: In the last episode on March 08 2007, Mr. Ajith Tharakan from Kerala was the first person in the new series of KBC to win 50, Lakh Rupees !!
