One habit - a bad one - I noticed with Indians is that whenever there is a nice thing or person, we like to immediately put him on a pedestal and almost worship him. Soon that person becomes mediocre and less attentive to his job.

We keep saying Manmohan Singh is a great guy. Chidambaram is a great guy and so on. Yes, these people are very decent people. But that is not enough. Instead of keeping them on pedestal, we should constantly examine if these people are doing enough or not.

There is such a lot of things the government can do but have not done. People are not there to question these good people " why this is not done , why that is not done".

Because 100 % of the time we Indians spend talking " That person is a great guy. This person is fantastic guy" and so on.

So there is no time or occasion to ask the necessary hard questions to these people we always put on pedestal.

    Think about it.
