I am too in same dilemma . I tried to give a try to Chinese phone. Tried two three times and ended up buying some branded phone and that too at much higher than any Chinese phone available.  Most of the people I have seen with Chinese phones are happy with them. I am yet to see any unsatisfied Chinese phone customer but...
One thing is to be noted that 90% chinese phones I found was in lower income group people, rather very lower income ..  for them big screen and loud sound seems to be only reason to buy them. So can't say if average mobile phone user will get satisfied too. 

well never used chaina phone.. but definitely not recommended.. rather go for standard company phones..
